On Comments II

Hello All

It was nice getting to know some of the silent readers of this blog. The first note on comments was put out because of the need to create an interactive atmosphere here. When I started this blog, I was driven by the need to meet readers, create a community where book lovers can just enjoy good stories, share insights on literature and just generally interact with no just me, but with each other.

I was amused to read comments from a few people accusing me of ‘threatening’ them. There were those who said it in jest, I know some of them and happen to consider them friends, but for those who took it upon themselves to sound negative, I do not owe you anything, and you were not obliged to make any comment. The note was not even that serious in the first place.

I would honestly love to reach a point where I can know you all on a first name basis, talk about books and become friends. While I am grateful for your appreciation, the purpose of that first note is to get you all to discuss the stories, and not the author really. I get inspiration from your analysis of the stories, prediction of character’s next action and other helpful insights. I am still learning and I know a lot of you reading in the background are intelligent people, so let’s talk and get to know each other more. Like every human, I appreciate compliments but I will appreciate your honest intelligent contributions more. God willing, there are plans for something bigger, my hope is to have you all there, reading, talking and doing what you know best.
